They were able to accommodate a short notice and all parties involved were friendly , professional , patient and helpful.

Their pricing was very fair and they were on time on both ends with our items in the same condition we left them with !

Move from Marietta, GA to Kalamazoo, MI

I used Safe Van lines to move from Marietta, GA to Kalamazoo, MI in October 2023. I worked with Matt and the process was easy and cost effective.

I was able to schedule my pickup day and they gave a range of 3 days. The company picked up everything on first day of range after confirmation. The pickup was fast and the movers wrapped everything well.

The delivery was in the range they said and the guys moved everything in quickly and with care. I haven’t seen anything that had any damage.

Would recommend the company to a friend if they asked due to the job they did and the price seemed fair.

$20k move delivered broken and moldy furniture

Safe Van Lines, who were paid just under $20k, delivered the contents of our Florida home to Alabama mislabeled, broken, damaged, with some furniture covered in mold AND have been radio silent since I reached out - during delivery - about the condition of our things.

I sent an email immediately with pictures of the mold covering one side of our coffee table. I've also called twice and have not received a response.

I am still unboxing, and am aghast at the way Safe Van Lines treated our belongings - many of which are now garbage because that's what Safe Van Lines did to them.

We stored the contents of our 2781 sq ft home with Safe Van Lines for 5 weeks between the closing of our Florida home and the closing of the home we moved to in Alabama.

In 5 weeks with Safe Van Lines there was clearly water intrusion in the container holding our things. The visible mold and smell of mildew was so much on our dining room chairs and coffee table that the Birmingham crew they hired to unload the semi was alarmed and took it out of the house to the garage - along with other things including a large wilted box of linens that were still wet to the touch. And oh the smell!

Handmade dishes, gifts, artwork, textiles - some antique - also damaged. Ruined.

The delivery was Friday. Today is Monday.

I am still unboxing, but what I've seen so far combined with the radio silence from Safe Van Lines is enough evidence that this is not a company to be trusted with anything you care about.

In the strongest possible terms - I caution everyone against hiring Safe Van Lines and urge you to share this to warn others.

Worst EVER!!! Thief’s!!

If you could leave - *, I would. I had a small out of state move. They took over 4 weeks to deliver my items to a storage unit. I am missing an entire box that held my jewelry boxes. They broke a Buddha statue and attempted to tape the head back on, my tool bag is missing, damage to my framed art, my apple computer missing. The movers refused to unload my items without additional $250, which I said I would pay once they provided proof everything was accounted for. They refused. I had no choice but to pay. They definitely extorted money from me. Very condescending staff, in particular Alex and Carolina !! These people are crooks!! Highly advise not moving with this company. They are refusing to address my missing items even after I gave the box number that’s missing and an accounting of the other items missing and broken. The worst moving company ever and very criminal!!

Your move from Florida to Indiana took place during the holiday season, with pickup on December 26, 2024 - the day after Christmas. Before booking, you asked if delivery could take place before the New Year, and we were clear that - due to the timing and holiday volume - it was highly unlikely. You chose to proceed with that understanding. On December 24, we reconfirmed that delivery would not occur before January 2.

When our crew arrived for pickup on December 26, several items were not packed according to our guidelines and remained loose or unprotected, increasing the risk of damage. Despite this, we proceeded with your move as a courtesy to keep things on track. Your items were delivered on January 10, well within the agreed timeframe. You chose not to be present at delivery due to weather concerns. Our driver and crew completed your delivery, and documented the unloading process with photos, including images showing your Apple computer safely placed inside your storage unit.

Per industry standard, and as outlined in your signed agreement, final payment is due before unloading. Additionally, our movers documented a long carry from the truck to your unit, which involved several hallways. We always cover the first 75 feet of long carry at no additional cost. If the long carry is more than 75 feet, a long carry fee may apply. These details are communicated and explained in your moving agreement. Due to the long carry from the truck to your unit, a $150 long carry fee applied at the time of delivery, and photo documentation was submitted.

On January 18, you reported two missing boxes. We reviewed your inventory and found that the number of boxes listed in your claim did not match the count on your signed move-day inventory. On January 21, we asked for the specific box number(s). On March 30, you contacted us again, noting damage to a Buddha statue and only one missing box. We responded on March 31, requesting the box number and informing you that your selected coverage - Standard Valuation at $0.60 per pound per item - would apply, since Full Value Protection was not purchased. Nevertheless, we offered to assist with replacing the damaged item if proof of purchase could be provided.

On April 2 and 6, we received several messages in which you identified box #113 as the missing one, and claimed it contained jewelry. You also stated that a tool bag and the Apple computer were missing. As shown in photo documentation we've submitted, all items from your inventory, including the Apple computer, were delivered to your unit. If any item(s) were missing after the day of delivery, we recommend contacting your storage facility to review their surveillance footage. Additionally, as outlined in your signed agreement, we do not transport or accept responsibility for jewelry, cash, or other high-value personal items.

We also reviewed the inventory sheet, which noted your Buddha statue was marked “SC” (scratched) and “CH” (chipped) at pickup. Despite these pre-existing conditions, we’ve still offered to help replace the item as a gesture of goodwill, pending receipt of the requested documentation.

We take all concerns seriously and stand behind the service we provide. While we strongly disagree with your characterization of our team, we remain committed to reaching a fair resolution, and genuinely appreciate your feedback.

The worst, run, don’t walk, run

We have missing items. We have many items that are broken damaged. tops were removed from things and emptied the contents out in the box. The driver when our items arrive, sat in his truck, the entire time while two young men unloaded who told us they didn’t have time to finish unloading so my husband, daughter and daughter-in-law had to help finish unloading the truck. They refused to put items together, as promised left a mess on my lawn. I’ve called and complained. I was assured that I would receive an email with the information needed to file a claim and put in my complaint that never happened. I can’t say enough about these folks other than to run fast from them.

A BIG Shout Out TO MATT, AT SAFE VAN LINES LLC!!!

GREAT GUY & GREAT COMPANY to work with.....Just recently , I made a big move from Mass to Florida, and at my age of 63, and alone, I was extremely nervous and worried about such a long distance move, and HIRING THE RIGHT COMPANY to do the job.... Right from the start, Matt was upfront, honest, extremely helpful, and kind in answering all my questions, concerns, and especially helpful in calming my nerves... Matt explained each and every detail from start to finish of the entire process and believe me....I CALLED A LOT, LOL, but Matt never made me feel rushed or at any time too busy for me, and there were many times he was extremely busy but ALWAYS got right back to me...Matt is excellent at his job and a true asset to SAFE VAN LINES...

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company for your move....The crews that were sent to wrap, box, load, and stack all my belongings were the greatest!!! Very professional, hard working men that took extreme care in everything I had.... SAFE VAN LINES, LLC is DEFINATELY a great moving company, and MATT IS THE BEST OF THE BEST TO WORK WITH...

Great knowledgable Professional Service

We needed to move a few misc items to my daughter; a small move where we were tempted to work with local brokers to save on the total cost. A BIG mistake! We were so fortunate to have Matt and Safe Van Lines to turn to when things started going wrong (with the brokers) We definitely learned the value of working directly with the carrier and not being handed off to a sub-contractor. Matt was professional; knew his business and that of his competition; he offered us an extremely fair price and was at the ready to support our move on short notice. We had delayed in making a decision to go with Safe Van Lines but once we did, Matt was at the ready and coordinated with us and his dispatcher to facilitate getting our stuff on the way within two days!! Maybe lucky timing for us but exceptional effort from Matt. Matt followed up with me directly on each step from confirmation through pick up to make sure that everything was being handled well. I highly recommend Safe Van Lines!

I am very happy I chose safe VanLines. They successfully moved 21 pieces of furniture across 4 state lines.

Pros: I was able to receive my move asap. My items stayed on one truck the entire trip. My moving consultant stayed in contact with me via the entire move. The movers were professional and easy to work with. My home and furniture were kept in good condition. I saved a lot of money by choosing safe VanLines.

Cons: There was a 19% up charge from the moving estimate due to bulk items and more cubic space than estimated. I expect this would have happened with other companies as well.

Safe van lines moved the pick up date the day before scheduled.They were very accommodating to picking a new date.

Move from Florida to Georgia

Susan was very helpful setting up my move and was available to answer questions and responded right away.

Eric my driver was EXCEPTIONAL and the best part of my move.

Keith who loaded in Sarasota was very efficient but moreover he was very careful moving my belongings.

The only reason this is not a 5 star review is because of Fred who unloaded. He banged my furniture through the doorways, dropped boxes, there’s a chip in my antique secretary desk, and seemed indignant when I gave him a $20 tip. He should have apologized and been extremely thankful I didn’t charge him for damages. He also left Eric waiting and was 20 minutes late.

Again, everything was great except Fred.
