Safe Van Lines LLC

My husband took a job in Cullman AL from SWFL and unfortunately right before the move he broke and dislocated his shoulder which meant we were not going to be packing our items into a trailer let alone driving them 700 miles away. I started online and before I knew it my phone was blowing up with calls, emails and texts from companies wanting my business. I was so overwhelmed that I just sent everyone to voicemail and started deleting emails. For some reason the emails from Safe Van Lines were different. They weren’t “slimy” sales calls. The emails were congratulatory. They also included subjects like “We know it can be scary.” Then came the emails: “Here are a few things to look for and watch for when hiring a company.” They even sent an email with a link to check to make sure the other companies were licensed to travel across country.

So why did I choose Safe Van Lines? I dealt with one person (Matthew) up until I signed the docs. But before I signed he was available when I called and or texted. He answered all my questions and concerns. One of the big takeaways was… I didn’t know there was a difference between a broker and a company. A broker sets things in motion and then you are left to deal with whomever they broker it to. With Safe Van Lines they are the movers. You deal with them the entire time.

Now back to my experience. After Matthew, came Evan. Evan took things from pick up to delivery.

Now here is another lesson learned and this is where I think things go awry with hiring movers. They can estimate how many cubic feet all day long but until they pack it on the truck you have an ESTIMATE. This is where I wish it had been done differently because I don’t like surprises. I wish there was a “this is the price if you take up half of the 18 wheeler or all the 18 wheeler.” Also I had a box count, which I didn’t understand fully so I went and got the biggest tubs and boxes (poor Igor, the driver and Vlad, his helper who loaded all those onto the truck), well, big boxes don’t stack too well and they are heavy and bulky.

The truck was loaded and I had a date and approximate time for delivery. Note by “law” depending upon the mileage they have so many days to deliver, know that when making your moving itinerary.

Another thing to mention is that Zelle has a weekly limit and I didn’t know that. So this is where it could’ve gone sideways, they worked with me and I just made sure I had the balance due when the driver arrived in AL.

Now my belongings were loaded and I had a date that they would arrive in AL. The driver kept me updated all along the way Unloading was awesome. They put things where I wanted them and even moved a couple of items twice.

Since my move I have already recommended them a few times. I will also tell you to save your time in filling out an online form to “get the best deal”… because not everyone is comparing apples to apples.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $7000

If you could leave - *, I would. I had a small out of state move. They took over 4 weeks to deliver my items to a storage unit. I am missing an entire box that held my jewelry boxes. They broke a Buddha statue and attempted to tape the head back on, my tool bag is missing, damage to my framed art, my apple computer missing. The movers refused to unload my items without additional $250, which I said I would pay once they provided proof everything was accounted for. They refused. I had no choice but to pay. They definitely extorted money from me. Very condescending staff, in particular Alex and Carolina !! These people are crooks!! Highly advise not moving with this company. They are refusing to address my missing items even after I gave the box number that’s missing and an accounting of the other items missing and broken. The worst moving company ever and very criminal!!

The movers arrived on time at my place in Texas. I was impressed with the professional way they wrapped and paced and separated my belongings by delivery location!! The delivery of my furniture was marked by some equipment failures but the drivers did the best they could. Tiana and Carolina deserve special mentioning due to the speed and professionalism they showed in expeditiously smoothing over the hurdles due to their professionalism. I would recommend this company again.

I recently use safevanlines LLC on April -10 - 2024 to move me from Ringgold Ga to Fayetteville N.C. in a one bedroom apartment delivery was scheduled for 04-12-24 but didn’t happen till 04-17-24 several items were broken and half of my belongings were missing and left behind at a warehouse I was charged for an extra $375 because I went over my feet on the truck but you on bring half of my belongings and don’t want to refund any of my money I still as of 5-08-24 have only 2 pairs of blue jeans and 2 pairs of sweatpants and a few shirts to wear because all my clothes are at you’re warehouse!!Can you imagine going to job interviews and church wear the same clothes and washing clothes every day I feel trap your holding my items hostage and you stay ur waiting on dispatch but you were paid fair price and still charge me more money !! You not even trying to make it right hiding behind your policy of bs I want my belongings and refund is been over 3 weeks now !!

I recently had the pleasure of using Safe Van Lines for my move from Florida to South Carolina. I must say that I am extremely satisfied with their services. From start to finish, both moving crews were exceptional in their work and displayed a high level of professionalism and politeness.

The move out crew did an excellent job in un-assembling, wrapping and protecting all of my large belongings. I was particularly impressed with their attention to detail and the care they took in ensuring that nothing was damaged during the move. Thanks to their expertise, all of my items arrived at my new home in perfect condition.

The move in crew was equally efficient. They brought all of my belongings into the desired rooms but also took the time to clean up after themselves. It was a relief to see that they not only cared about the physical aspect of the move but also the overall cleanliness of my new home.

One aspect that truly stood out to me was Safe Van's flexibility and understanding. Due to unforeseen circumstances on my end, I had to delay the delivery date. Safe Van was more than accommodating and worked with me to find a suitable solution. This flexibility greatly minimized the stress of the logistics and made the entire process much smoother.

Throughout the entire moving process, communication with Safe Van was excellent. They kept me informed every step of the way and promptly addressed any concerns or questions I had. This level of communication gave me peace of mind and reassured me that my move was in good hands.

Overall, my experience with Safe Van was great. Both crews were professional, polite, and efficient in their work. The attention to detail, flexibility, and great communication made this move a lot less stressful for me. I highly recommend Safe Van to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy movers.

I used Safe Van lines to move from Marietta, GA to Kalamazoo, MI in October 2023. I worked with Matt and the process was easy and cost effective.

I was able to schedule my pickup day and they gave a range of 3 days. The company picked up everything on first day of range after confirmation. The pickup was fast and the movers wrapped everything well.

The delivery was in the range they said and the guys moved everything in quickly and with care. I haven’t seen anything that had any damage.

Would recommend the company to a friend if they asked due to the job they did and the price seemed fair.

Safe Van Lines, who were paid just under $20k, delivered the contents of our Florida home to Alabama mislabeled, broken, damaged, with some furniture covered in mold AND have been radio silent since I reached out - during delivery - about the condition of our things.

I sent an email immediately with pictures of the mold covering one side of our coffee table. I've also called twice and have not received a response.

I am still unboxing, and am aghast at the way Safe Van Lines treated our belongings - many of which are now garbage because that's what Safe Van Lines did to them.

We stored the contents of our 2781 sq ft home with Safe Van Lines for 5 weeks between the closing of our Florida home and the closing of the home we moved to in Alabama.

In 5 weeks with Safe Van Lines there was clearly water intrusion in the container holding our things. The visible mold and smell of mildew was so much on our dining room chairs and coffee table that the Birmingham crew they hired to unload the semi was alarmed and took it out of the house to the garage - along with other things including a large wilted box of linens that were still wet to the touch. And oh the smell!

Handmade dishes, gifts, artwork, textiles - some antique - also damaged. Ruined.

The delivery was Friday. Today is Monday.

I am still unboxing, but what I've seen so far combined with the radio silence from Safe Van Lines is enough evidence that this is not a company to be trusted with anything you care about.

In the strongest possible terms - I caution everyone against hiring Safe Van Lines and urge you to share this to warn others.

An accidental call after 9pm when nobody should have been even working saved my nightmare move sounds like BS but its not.. I contracted a move promised great discount by another co. Bait n Switched threatened to have items left behind if didnt pay for additioal space then doubled my quote i was devistated but felt helpless then somehow this call came thru Evan asked ne about my move he was quick to tell me wow thats not right Evan found out i was disabled widow of vetran and asked to review contract to see if was legitamate and it wasnt he was adiment to help me he gave me better rate and moved my things same day before other co.could scam me for more money..Evan worked with me knowing i had just lost over 2k with other co. who ended up a broker never hire broker!! I am grateful to Safe Movers and would only call them ever again for any move i recomend calling Evan to compare your best quote if its good he will even tell you to stay with other movers now thats someone with the ethics i want my familys treasures in hands of ..thank you Evan for saving me from being treated with disrespect and the stress and fear of what could have happened if not for that strange late call something said to take...

We booked a date to move from south Florida to Colorado. It took twice as long to deliver, and the representative named Evan did not answer his phone for almost 3 weeks; nor did he appoint another representative to follow up with our inquiry and delivery date. He even turned his phone off after mentioning he would give us a call back within the hour to confirm the delivery date. When he would finally pick up the phone, he was unhelpful and rude. Very difficult to work with.

We were charged almost $2.9k but as they were loading the truck, they changed an extra $1.2k basing it on the amount of single items rather than cubic feet which was the original estimate we were given. They denied ever giving us that initial quote. On the week of delivery, they insisted that we needed to transfer our stuff from a semi-truck to a Uhaul to be able to park, despite the building authorizing the parking of a semi for less than an hour, and many semi-trucks parking on the street. For this, we were charged X amount, in addition for us to have to download the truck ourselves to avoid apparent extra charges despite us paying for a full service. Evan had mentioned that he would not deduct any of the extra charges because according to the delivery guy it had taken 3 hours to load less than a studio apartment, which in reality took 30 minutes. In addition to insisting that we use a uhaul for him to avoid losing his CDL. Evan later seemingly provided a “discount” which was named-changed uhaul truck delivery costs, making it the same delivery amount of an extra $1.3k (originally charged during the loading of the truck). We were bamboozled. We had no option but to pay the extra charges in order to get our stuff. The delivery guy was very rude, sending text messages implying that we were not going to pay. Some of our items were broken and a box was never delivered. The delivery guy said he would help us bring the boxes upstairs, and in the process, he damaged a wall which we will now have to have repaired.

What a terrible and frustrating experience we had. We do not recommend this company and will be submitting a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in hope that they as a company are flagged for poor service and charging customers for services that are not needed in order to make a larger profit. Yes, they were the cheapest moving company that we found when we first booked the move, but it ended up being a lot more expensive and delayed in the end. Horrible company.

I had a good experience. Most importantly my very fragile items were all moved with no breakage. The movers arrived on time & efficiently moved my boxes & furniture. Upon arrival, David (by himself) carried everything to the proper room. He checked in prior to arrival to let me know his timing, & had to park his truck down the street, but never complained about the distance he had to move everything. Evan, my liaison was involved from beginning to end, & even checked back after the move was over. All personnel were caring & did their best to ensure a smooth move. The cost was very reasonable. I would use Safe Van Lines again.

This company has moved me twice, out of state both times. They are very thorough on wrapping furniture so the furniture does not get scratched. They hire good people that makes you feel at ease during such a traumatic time. My go to guy was Evan and he was a prince in estimating the move correctly and getting pickup and delivery scheduled well within our window. I would absolutely use this company again and have already referred them several times. Thanks again Evan for handling my moves without any worry on my part.

I have to tell you about my moving experience. I have heard horror stories about using movers and was very nervous. It took me too long to decide to hire someone and then who to hire. Safe Van Lines, LLC had the lowest quote so at the last possible moment (a week before my move) I pulled the trigger. I was a difficult customer in that I had a tight window of time. I needed to have my things loaded on Friday, no earlier because I work and no later because I was leaving the State Saturday, on a holiday weekend. The rep I first spoke with, Taylor, was helpful, informative and forthcoming. She didn't promise things they couldn't deliver. A few days later, Evan, in the quality dept called and confirmed my items in detail. I had more things than I originally thought but the adjusted quote was still less than other companies. The driver, Eric, arrived Friday and we all drove up Saturday (not all together lol). He kept me updated on his progress and delivered Sunday morning. Nothing was missing, broken or damaged. Eric was friendly and efficient. If you need to move, I highly recommend Safe Van Lines! I still can't believe how great it was!

I moved from MA to FL . I took the quote from agent. She will do anything to lure you with quoting less. Once you fall in their trap , you will be done. I was quoted $6200 , even when I sent pictures of all items. At day of pick up , they upcharge me and gave me the bill of $8500. They will say you took more cubic space , which you cannot measure. so no other option but to pay to them. Then on delivery day , they told me our 18 wheeler cannot enter in your society , so you have to pay more for unloading . Again , no other option but to pay extra money , then they charged me more money based on the steps in my apartment. They will tell you first 7 steps are free and you have 14 steps so extra. For a quote of $6200 , I paid in total $9000. Save yourself from these thieves.

We have missing items. We have many items that are broken damaged. tops were removed from things and emptied the contents out in the box. The driver when our items arrive, sat in his truck, the entire time while two young men unloaded who told us they didn’t have time to finish unloading so my husband, daughter and daughter-in-law had to help finish unloading the truck. They refused to put items together, as promised left a mess on my lawn. I’ve called and complained. I was assured that I would receive an email with the information needed to file a claim and put in my complaint that never happened. I can’t say enough about these folks other than to run fast from them.

We needed to move a few misc items to my daughter; a small move where we were tempted to work with local brokers to save on the total cost. A BIG mistake! We were so fortunate to have Matt and Safe Van Lines to turn to when things started going wrong (with the brokers) We definitely learned the value of working directly with the carrier and not being handed off to a sub-contractor. Matt was professional; knew his business and that of his competition; he offered us an extremely fair price and was at the ready to support our move on short notice. We had delayed in making a decision to go with Safe Van Lines but once we did, Matt was at the ready and coordinated with us and his dispatcher to facilitate getting our stuff on the way within two days!! Maybe lucky timing for us but exceptional effort from Matt. Matt followed up with me directly on each step from confirmation through pick up to make sure that everything was being handled well. Hats off to Matt and his team at Safe Van Lines! Thank you!

GREAT GUY & GREAT COMPANY to work with.....Just recently , I made a big move from Mass to Florida, and at my age of 63, and alone, I was extremely nervous and worried about such a long distance move, and HIRING THE RIGHT COMPANY to do the job.... Right from the start, Matt was upfront, honest, extremely helpful, and kind in answering all my questions, concerns, and especially helpful in calming my nerves... Matt explained each and every detail from start to finish of the entire process and believe me....I CALLED A LOT, LOL, but Matt never made me feel rushed or at any time too busy for me, and there were many times he was extremely busy but ALWAYS got right back to me...Matt is excellent at his job and a true asset to SAFE VAN LINES...

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company for your move....The crews that were sent to wrap, box, load, and stack all my belongings were the greatest!!!
